Snovalley Pride is thrilled to partner with the GSBA (Greater Seattle Business Alliance) for three Community Education Events! You are invited to join us for this FREE community event where we will learn about specific LGBTQ+ topics and have an opportunity for Q&A to get your questions answered!

In this third gathering we will discuss two topics:
Intersectionality & Where You Fit
As we come to understand intersecting identities how do we translate that into allowing others to show up as their whole selves in day to day life? What is power and privilege and how can we use it to leverage ourselves against oppression?

Allyship Everywhere
Oppression is a systemic issue that also takes root in our everyday lives. Learn where and when you can incorporate more accessibility and inclusion in your everyday practices. Test out your allyship muscles in real time as we work through active ally scenarios as a group.

Goals
-Discuss the importance of intersectionality as it relates to creating more inclusive spaces.
-Cultivate an understanding of the overlap between privilege and allyship and how to utilize privilege effectively to best support marginalized people.

After our presentation from the GSBA, the floor will be open for you to ask questions to gain a better understanding of these topics. Gather with like-minded people in our Valley community, make new friends, and feel supported as we gain a deeper understanding of these topics together.
